TYPOlight version 2.8.2 is available. The maintenance release updates TinyMCE, TCPDF and MooTools More to their latest versions and includes a couple of new callbacks and hooks. It also fixes a potential request forgery vulnerability in the back end, therefore it is recommended to update.

As of April 14, 2010 Twitter has 105,779,710 registered users. TYPOlight's "News Twitter" extension helps you to share your content with your followers more effectively.

Thomas Weitzel has actively supported TYPOlight ever since the early days of the project. After having answered a vast number of questions in the forums, he decided to share his TYPOlight and design knowledge in his book "Mit TYPOlight Websites erfolgreich gestalten".

TYPOlight version 2.8.1 is available. The maintenance release includes some important fixes for the new comments module (access control and BBCode parser), the improved calendar and event list navigation and the file manager (FancyUpload and thumbnail generation).

Not only TYPOlight itself got a lot of new features in the version 2.8 release. Also the additional services such as the TYPOlight system check, the development platform or the Live Update Service were improved.

TYPOlight version 2.8.0 is available. The minor release includes over 150 new features such as improved tree navigation, quick publishing, extended "edit multiple" options, better interface for custom MooTools scripts, enhanced image options and improved user management.

On January 29th and 30th, 2010, the TYPOlight team met in Munich to discuss the status quo and the future development of the project. Key issues were to define the target audience of the system and the direction in which TYPOlight will evolve.
