MiKas Skischule – Moderner Webauftritt für Skikurse im Allgäu

What is special about it

For MiKas Skischule in Gunzesried in the Allgäu region, the existing website was completely redesigned and rebuilt with Contao 5.7 LTS. The goal was to create a modern, emotional and easy-to-navigate website that presents the ski school's services clearly while guiding visitors quickly towards a course enquiry.

A particular focus was placed on the individually developed ski course enquiry form. Depending on the number of participants, visitors can enter individual course dates, skill levels, course types as well as course formats and times. This allows the ski school to receive all relevant information required for further planning already with the initial enquiry.

The responsive design combines large-scale imagery, clear typography, modern animations and interactive effects to create a lively digital experience that conveys the atmosphere of winter sports without compromising usability. Animations are used selectively to enhance the user experience rather than as an end in themselves.

An extensive FAQ section provides answers to the most common questions. The FAQ content is additionally enriched with structured data, making the information easier for search engines to understand.

Technically, the website is based on Contao 5.7 LTS and PHP 8.5. The Notification Center and Leads are used for forms and enquiry processing. Dynamic form fields are implemented with Conditional Form Fields, while Contao Turnstile provides spam protection. Individual content elements were created using RockSolid Custom Elements, and WOW.js is used for selected animations and scroll effects.

The result is a modern, performant and flexible website that presents the wide range of services offered by MiKas Skischule – from children's and adult ski courses to snowboarding, cross-country skiing and private lessons – while making it significantly easier for visitors to get in touch and enquire about a course.
