TYPOlight version 2.5.0 is available. The new release introduces some new and powerful features like the task center, improved article handling and access control for news archives, calenders, newsletter channels and forms. In addition, it includes a lot of improvements and small features that have been requested by the community.

Important note

After the update, regular users will not be able to access any news archives, calendars, newsletter channels or forms anymore! You have to enable these resources in the back end user group module first (which is also a good opportunity to adjust the list of allowed exclude fields).

Changes to fe_page.tpl

There have been some minor changes to the head section of the main front end template, so if you have modified it or if you are using a custom page template, you should apply the changes to it, too.

New cache directory

There is a new folder (system/html) which stores image thumbnails and other HTML resources. If you are having issues with file permissions, you should make this folder writeable (CHMOD 777).
