Contao Two Month Review November and December 2019

It was an eventful year for Contao in all respects, and we quietly bid it farewell.

For those who want to reminisce, we recommended the following two-month reviews:

In February, the next LTS version of Contao will finally be released and I can't wait. Thanks a lot to everyone involved for this milestone.

Friday, March 6, 2020, is already the first mandatory date for all Contao agencies at the Contao Agenturtag 2020 in Karlsruhe. If you have not yet registered, Thomas with weitzeldesign & Oliver with trilobit GmbH will be happy to receive your registration.

From 25.04 - 26.04.2020 this year's Contao Barcamp will take place in Hamburg. The preparations are already in the final spurt and the ticket sales will start soon. As in the years before, there will be 1-2 Contao Colleges in advance. Detailed information about the camp will follow soon.

Extensions

David has released a new version of his extension for the Boostrap layout integration in Contao.
Stefan has provided a new extension Grid CSS for Contao based on the rocksolid_columns.
Isotope eCommerce, the free shop solution for Contao, is available in the version 2.6.4.
From the contao-be-include-info extension by Fritz, there is a new implementation for Contao 4.4 and later.
This extension shows editors in the backend where articles, content elements or modules appear that have been inserted as "related elements" (display of the "siblings" and the parent element - both with a link to edit them).
The existing extension has been completely redesigned and made ready for Contao 4. In addition, the includes can be displayed using the insert tag {{insert_*}}. Currently, a fundraising for the project is in progress - for a small donation, the current version can be used immediately see Forum.
In November we had our 50th MM-Call without interruption. As in the previous 50 calls, Ingolf alias zonky moderated and documented the event. In November and December, besides fixes and updates, the upcoming version MM 2.2 was the main topic. MM 2.2 should have full compatibility with Contao 4.9. In addition, new features will be added that will make working with MM easier and more advanced. For refinancing, there will again be an "early-adopter-program" available for a fee - more about this in the MMM-News.
The next MM-Workshop is scheduled to take place in Hamburg in the run-up to the Contao Camp - i.e. on 24 April 2020. Unfortunately, the matter is not yet "dry wipes", but if you are interested, you can book the date.
