The TYPOlight system check tool allows you to check if your server is ready for TYPOlight or if your TYPOlight installation is missing any files. In addition, it checks your PHP configuration and tells you whether you have to enable the Safe Mode Hack.

TYPOlight version 2.5.5 is available. The maintenance release fixes several issues with the new sitemap feature and introduces a couple of new features like the FAQ extension.

We are proud to announce the first TYPOlight user meeting in Wuerzburg, Germany on April 19th, 2008. There will be several workshops for developers and agencies on the topics of template design, end-user manual, extension repository and marketing. Leo Feyer, the TYPOlight developer, will be giving an outlook on TYPOlight 3.0 and discuss its technical parameters in his workshop.

TYPOlight version 2.5.0 is available. The new release introduces some new and powerful features like the task center, improved article handling and access control for news archives, calenders, newsletter channels and forms.

TYPOlight has won the second place for Most Promising Open Source CMS in the Packt Publishing CMS Award 2007. The most promising category was designed to give further recognition to the variety of new open source Content Management Systems currently available.

TYPOlight version 2.4.7 is available. The new build includes an important security fix, therefore you should make sure to update your installation.

As from version 2.5.0, the TYPOlight live update will not be a free service anymore. Currently, there are more than 4.500 live update request every month, causing a lot of traffic that has to be paid. In addition, it takes a lot of time to create that many releases and to maintain the live update service (compared to just uploading the archives to sourceforge.net). There have been a few donations, however, they do not cover these expenses at all.
